I enjoyed this particular event. The venue choice was very good - lots of subject matter both inside and outside. Emily had sent camera settings information sheet ahead of the session, which was a really helpful idea. On the day Emily helped put these into practice allowing us to not only to start setting these ourselves, but also to experiment in adjusting and exploring these depending on the various light strengths.

This stunning photograph captures the aurora borealis illuminating the night sky over the rugged coastline of Portsoy, in northeast Scotland. Vivid purple hues dance across the sky, casting a mesmerizing glow that reflects on the calm sea, tinting the waters in shades of pink and violet. The jagged rocks of the shoreline add a dramatic contrast to the ethereal light display. As soon as darkness fell the lady came out to dance the night away giving us an hour of pure delight. The striking remains of an old dead tree stands against the mesmerising display of the Aurora Borealis in the star-filled sky over Sheriffmuir. The vibrant colours of the aurora juxtaposed with the lifeless tree create a captivating and evocative scene, symbolising the beauty and resilience of nature

Oh the beauty autumn brings. The rich, vibrant colours alongside the fast flowing river and charming woodland building in Dunkeld, evoke the essence of autumn. The landscape is reminiscent of an exquisite painting, with the autumnal hues of the leaves adding a sense of warmth to the natural beauty. This picture captures the serene and picturesque atmosphere of the season beautifully captured using a Sony full frame camera, Sigma Art lens and Nisi filter system mounted on a Manfrotto tripod.

We my partner and I arrived at and crossed the causeway around 4pm that day and that gave us time to look around for good compositions around the Lindisfarne castle, features we could use to give a sense of location, scale and additional interest to the aurora that was predicted to kick off soon after darkness fell. Boy it did kick off too and even when we left driving homeward around 10.30pm the aurora was still lighting up the sky with vivid green and reds easily spotted from the inside of

People often wonder why I bring such a large lens to the Zoo. I used a Sony G lens with a focal length of 300-600mm for this shot. When I visit the San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido, my objective is to take pictures that don't feel like they were taken at the zoo. In this case, the close-up of the tiger does just that, and you are brought into his focus. You can feel the intensity of his stare!Never stop capturing the moments!

I had arrived plenty early to set up, but quickly got discouraged because I could not seem to get the exposure right when shooting into the sun. Just when I was ready to give up, the sun got low enough, and suddenly everything exploded with color. I was very happy with the photo at first, but now wish I had moved more to my left so I could cut the bridge out of the image. That white thing across the wa
